Therapy Disciplines

As a person works through things that may initially present as physical symptoms, it is not at all uncommon that a person will begin to see puzzle pieces come together.  Outside of a specific injury event, “When did this pain in your ___ begin?” Can often be traced back to a life situation that is now manifesting as a physical pain.  Often, a client will begin to make different choices armed with a new perspective or manner of interacting & listening to they body.

There are some people who have let go of limiting beliefs and may choose to connect with the more spiritual side of life.  This is where the spiritual healing traditions of the Peruvian Q’ero Shaman can be effective.  There is more than can be added and it actually feels like it needs more, but this may be a good place to begin? Our therapy disciplines include (but are not limited to):

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, I was trained just outside of the traditional box and learned to observe the body through movement and look at the root cause, not only the diagnosis written on their prescription.  This training has guided me through additional forms of working with the body.  An eternal student, I deepened my knowledge of the human body studying CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute.

CranioSacral Therapy is a light touch therapy that can influence the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid around the brain & spinal cord.  This fluid has a pulse and it can be monitored and worked with anywhere on the body.  As I have worked with this modality, I have come to refine my sense of touch and interaction with the subtle energies of our bodies.  The light touch often allows the body a moment to realize it’s not being treated firmly or roughly and as a result, tissues can soften more easily.

Energy Balancing modalities have the potential to create balance in the energy / wisdom centers of the body – these are commonly referred to as chakras.  When these areas are not functioning optimally, we can see dysfunctions in how we feel or show up in the world.  While I have been trained and attuned to the master level of Reiki, I work more directly within the Universal field of energy shared with all matter.
